I agree with this however, a quality organization won't let a good communicator run a specialized division without first being in the ranks. In order to get into the ranks you need to pass the bar - and in most cases that will require an education of some sorts.

I recently got passed up for a promotion at a consulting company for very vague and obscure reasons. I achieved very strong numbers, met my targets, kept the clients happy. The reasons given to me were so laughable. 😂. I was lucky enough to apply and get selected at another company in that higher level. What I realized was that promotion is less about the work you do but more about the perception you are able to create and what the seniors who can make a decision see that perception as.

Understand that you bring a strategy which is good. However, I disagree on this because "Asking questions" is totally far away being a key stone to control a conversation. It really depends on situations like talking to your supervisor (or higher level like directors, ceo) or discussing with client which will make them feel questioned. It will be more dramatic within families (like son-father or wife-husband). So, I think this practice will not be helpful for the most of the daily life conversations.
